Bhante Ananda
Bhante Ananda completed his monastic education in Sri Lanka and earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Buddhist Studies in Singapore. He is currently enrolled in the Buddhist Chaplaincy Program at the University of the West in Los Angeles.
Bhante Ananda has lived the monastic life for over 20 years. Since 2011, he has been actively engaged in humanitarian and service work, including water and hospital projects, support for poor schoolchildren, monastic schools, and assistance to people in need in Sri Lanka.
In addition to his monastic service, he has volunteered at a Suicide Prevention Centre in Singapore and currently serves as a volunteer advocate with StrengthUnited, supporting individuals affected by domestic violence.
His practice extends beyond traditional forms of Buddhism, following Buddhayāna — the Path of the Buddha, emphasizing compassion, service, and direct engagement with suffering.
